Asst. Manager, Warehouse

Job Purpose Statement:

Report to the Warehouse Manager. Responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the warehouse, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics. Ensure efficient and effective warehouse operations to meet organizational goals and customer satisfaction.

Roles & Responsibility:

1.       Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing products.

2.       Ensure accurate inventory management and control, including regular stock checks and audits.

3.       Coordinate and supervise the order fulfilment process to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.

4.       Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

5.       Manage and train warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and productivity.

6.       Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

7.       Monitor and analyse warehouse performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

8.       Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

9.       Follow the instructions and directives of the Warehouse Manager to ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategies.

10.   Implement and oversee the use of warehouse management software to streamline operations.

11.   Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations.

12.   Conduct regular training sessions for warehouse staff on best practices and safety procedures.

13.   Prepare and present reports on warehouse operations and performance to senior management.

14.   Coordinate with logistics providers to optimize transportation and delivery schedules.

15.   Manage budget and expenses related to warehouse operations, ensuring cost-effective practices.

16.   Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in warehouse operations.

17.   Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.

18.   Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and facilities.

·         Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.

·         Excellent organizational and time management skills.

·         Proficient in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

·         Strong leadership and team management skills.
